Jay Tooke is a Canadian-born, award winning producer, drummer, multi- instrumentalist, song writer, and mix engineer. Now based in Muscle Shoals after a 14 year stint in Nashville, he brings a nuanced and intuitive approach to crafting compelling musical narratives. With a background steeped in diverse genres, Tooke has carved out a distinctive production style characterized by its organic feel and commitment to sonic authenticity. Rather than adhering to rigid formulas, he cultivates an environment where the artist's inherent sound can flourish, acting as a facilitator in the creative process.

Tooke has won three GMA awards, earned two CCMA nominations, and has produced six number one singles and several top ten singles, in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

His production discography showcases this sensitivity, highlighting his ability to capture the emotional core of a song. HIs diverse range of artists includes working with artists like Randy Houser, Cody Johnson, James Otto, Charlie Argo, Wyatt Flores, Lindi Ortega, Rome & Duddy, Josh Morningstar, Jason Blaine, Worriers, Adam Hood, Chrissi Poland, Ty Wilson, David DeVaul and Hannah Huntley.

As a mix engineer he has worked with Cody Jinks, Taylor Hunnicutt, The Accidentals, and mixed records for acclaimed producers like Kent Wells and Wings drummer Denny Seiwell.
